Why doesn't the app follow my location?

Enabling the "Follow My Location" setting will keep the map centered on your location when you're in motion. Follow these steps to turn this setting on:

  1. Tap the gear icon on the bottom right of the app to open the apps Settings menu
  2. Look for "Follow My Location"
  3. Turn this option on with the switch on the right hand side

Why isn't my Forecast updating?

If you're panning around the map and your Forecast Bar isn't updating, it's likely the lock feature is enabled. The lock icon in the top left of Forecast Bar locks a location in your Forecast Bar.

When the lock is grey and in an unlocked position, the location and forecast will change when you change locations either physically or by panning around the map in MyRadar.

When the lock is white and in a locked position, the location and forecast will not change unless you go to a Favorited location.

To lock/unlock the location in the Forecast Bar, tap the lock icon.

Why isn't my radar loading?

First, let's make sure that your Radar is enabled:

  1. Tap on the color bar at the bottom of the app
  2. You'll be able to choose between the usual radar types in the "Weather Loops" menu
  3. Once you've selected a radar it should load on the map
  4. If you have a Premium Features subscription you can switch to the "Radars" menu and choose an individual radar station

If this doesn't work, we have found that if the time and the time zone are set incorrectly it can cause the radar to behave like this. Here is an article from Apple with information on how to set your time automatically - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iph65f82af3e/ios.

I've done all of the Restore Purchases troubleshooting, why am I still unable to access my subscription?

If the restore purchases option in the Settings menu does not give you access to your purchases, try these steps:

  1. To get started, tap the Settings app on your phone's home screen
  2. Scroll down until you locate "Safari" and tap that option.
  3. Scroll again till you see "Clear History and Website Data". Tap on it and follow any prompts that show up.
  4. Go back to the main screen of the Settings app of your iOS device.
  5. Now tap your name at the top of the Page, then tap "Media and Purchases"
  6. Tap "sign out" in the pop-up. (Don't forget your password!)
  7. From here, go back to the first page in Settings, and then tap General. Next, tap iPhone Storage
  8. You may have to wait a moment for the list to populate, however, scroll and locate MyRadar, tap the option and then select "Delete App".
  9. Restart/Reboot your iPhone.
  10. Go back and sign back in to iTunes & App Store.
  11. Once signed in, reinstall MyRadar.
  12. Open MyRadar and tap the Gear icon to open the settings menu.
  13. Tap "Restore Previous Purchases" and follow the prompts!
**Please note that is only works if you are signed into the iDevice using the same Apple ID/e-mail address that was used to purchase the upgrades.**

Why am I receiving notifications from a past location?

If you're receiving notifications from an incorrect location or a previously visited location, you may need to clear MyRadar's cached data:

1. Open the Settings app (gear icon in toolbar)
2. Tap on "Safari"
3. Tap on "Clear History and Website Data"

I need help with Family Sharing.

MyRadar Pro and in app subscriptions are available to share through the Family Sharing plan. The only way to share the app with other Apple IDs is by enabling Family Sharing and adding your family members to the Family Sharing plan.

Here's an article on setting up a Family Sharing account: https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/set-up-family-sharing-iph223f61318/ios
Here's an article on how to add a family member to the plan: https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/add-family-sharing-members-iph8f958ab3f/ios

Once Family Sharing is set up try these steps to install MyRadar Pro onto your family members devices:

  1. Open the App Store
  2. Tap your profile picture at the top of the screen
  3. Tap Purchased
  4. Find the family member's purchases
  5. Tap the family member's name to see their content
  6. Tap the Download button next to the item you want to install

Can I use my purchases on my iPhone and my iPad?

Your iOS purchases and upgrades are tied to your AppleID. In order to use the same upgrades from one iOS device to another, you must be signed into the same Apple ID on all devices in question. You can confirm which account your upgrades are tied to by checking your purchase history in iOS:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name, then tap Media & Purchases.
  3. Tap View Account. You might be asked to sign in.
  4. Tap Purchase History.

See this Apple Support article for more guidance and information: https://support.apple.com/en-us/118212?device-type=iphone

Once you've signed into the correct AppleID that is tied to your MyRadar purchase, you should be able to access your purchase on multiple iOS devices.

My app is crashing, what do I do?

First, check the app store for any updates made to the app. If your app is up to date and you're still experiencing crashes on the app, please open a ticket with the following information:

  1. A screen recording of the app crashing
  2. How long the crashes have been occurring
  3. If possible, the version of the app (This will be located at the bottom of the Settings menu)
  4. Does this occur on both WiFi and Cellular Data?

I keep getting a "Trip detected notification", What is that?

This notification is from our MyDrives feature. MyDrives is an opt-in feature available in the extended forecast that lets the app show weather along your route by slowly detecting your commutes.

Follow these steps to delete your MyDrives account so you opt-out of the feature:

1. Open the app and go to the Settings menu (gear icon, bottom right corner)
2. From there, tap on the MyDrives row
3. Tap on Delete

If you ever want to sign up again, just go to the extended forecast and tap on the green MyDrives button.

Why do I keep getting an Airport pop up notification?

The Airport Popup feature enables a little popup search bar at the bottom of the screen when you are close enough to an airport. You can use this search to look up flights.

To turn this feature off, open the Settings menu (gear icon, bottom right corner) and then toggle off the "Airport Popup" option towards the middle of the menu.
