The map isn't on current location when MyRadar is opened

If the app isn't following you when you change locations, you may not have enabled the "Follow My Location" and "Set My Location" options in the Settings menu. These options will keep the map centered when you're in motion and center the map your location when the map is loaded.

If you would like to enable these options, follow these steps

  1. Tap the gear icon on the bottom right of the app to open the Settings menu
  2. Looks for the "Map Settings" section
  3. Enable the "Follow My Location" and "Set My Location" options with the switches on the right hand side

The Forecast Bar does not update

If you're panning around the map and your Forecast Bar isn't updating, it's likely the lock feature is enabled. The lock icon in the top left of Forecast Bar locks a location in your Forecast Bar.

When the lock is grey and in an unlocked position, the location and forecast will change when you change locations either physically or by panning around the map in MyRadar.

When the lock is white and in a locked position, the location and forecast will not change unless you go to a Favorited location.

To lock/unlock the location in the Forecast Bar, tap the lock icon.

Radar will not show up on the map

First, let's make sure that your Radar enabled:

  1. Tap on the color bar at the bottom of the app
  2. You'll be able to choose between the usual radar types in the "Weather Loops" menu
  3. Once you've selected a radar it should load on the map
  4. If you have a Premium Features subscription you can switch to the "Radars" menu and choose an individual radar station

If this doesn't work, try resetting your date & time settings on your device. Here is an article from Google with information on how to set your time automatically - https://support.google.com/android/answer/2841106?hl=en.

Cannot access a legacy purchase or active subscription

Tap the Gear icon on the bottom right of the app to open the Settings menu. From here you should see a "Restore Previous Purchases" button. Once you tap that button you a page will open with your active purchases. Hit "Done" then check the app to confirm that your purchases have been restored.

Try clearing your cache if the Restore Previous Purchases button doesn't work:

1. Open the Settings app on your phone's home screen or app drawer

2. Tap on "Storage", then in the new page, tap Other Apps

3. Find and tap MyRadar in the listed apps

4. In the new page, tap Clear Cache.

5. Afterwards, open the app then tap "Restore Previous Purchases"

If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the app: Tap and hold the MyRadar icon on your home screen, then reinstall the app from the Google Play Store (Note: locally stored data like favorited/pinned locations are not saved between installs)

If you've tried all of the options above and you're still unable to access your purchases, please try these steps:

1. Delete MyRadar from your Android device. (You may have to restart your Android device after deleting MyRadar to ensure the Google Play store registers it as uninstalled on the device)

2. Open an incognito window in the browser of your choice.

3. In the incognito window, log in to Google Play with the e-mail address originally used to purchase, on the desktop/laptop.

4. If you downloaded MyRadar, use this link

(If instead you downloaded MyRadar Pro, use this link)

5. You will then see a green button that says "Install" or "Installed", just tap that button and select the device you would like to send the app to.

The location on my forecast is wrong

Unfortunately, the labeling for areas in the Forecast Bar is out of our hands and solely dependent on third-party services like Google's geolocator services.

This means that MyRadar just gets the location label from Google's services, so it can only show whatever is given for the area the crosshairs are under. There may have been a recent change on Google's end that makes the system MyRadar is drawing from register the area as elsewhere.

Sometimes, zoom levels can also affect this - at further zoomed out views, the forecast label will group up areas into a county or bigger nearby city. Rest assured though that the area's label/text shouldn't affect the forecast data itself, so the forecast should still be accurate to the local area that the crosshairs are targeting. So, you should still be seeing accurate forecast data,
