I am seeing ads when I shouldn't.
If you have an active subscription and are still seeing third-party ads, try the "Force License Rebuild" button under the Need Some Help? section of the in-app Settings menu (gear icon, bottom right corner).
If troubles persist, send us a ticket through our Help Desk here.
Radar is not loading
Check your machine's date & time settings:
- Open the Settings app on your machine
- Click on Time & language
- Click on Date & time
- Toggle "Set time zone automatically" on/off a few times, leaving it ON
- Now reopen MyRadar
The app is stuck on a "Loading..." message
Make sure there are no VPNs running when using the app as they can severely affect how the app loads things.
How do I add favorited areas or drop pins on the map?
The Windows version of the app does not have any favoriting feature, but you can save your zoom level, layer and map settings with the Scene buttons in the toolbar. Click the "Save Scene" button to create a scene.
MyRadar won't load on my Windows 10 machine
With Microsoft dropping general public support for Windows 10, many updates have been made to Microsoft's tools and frameworks that MyRadar relies on. These updates have made it harder for the app to function properly on Windows 10 and we can no longer guarantee full functionality and stability on Windows 10 devices.
Where are the forecast details?
To open the Forecast panel, click on the sun-and-clouds icon in the bottom right corner of the toolbar in the app.
How do I quickly move the map to my location?
Click the Locate Me button on the very left end of the toolbar in the app.
The current location (blue dot) on the map is wrong.
The Windows version of MyRadar relies on your internet service provider and their network configurations, which can sometimes be inaccurate.
You can manually change your current location in the app with the Fixed Location button found in the Settings menu (gear icon, bottom right corner).
MyRadar is crashing
First, please try the Repair tool available on Windows:
1. Search for MyRadar in the Start Menu and click on Settings (or open the Settings app > Apps > Installed apps > MyRadar)
2. Click on the Repair button. Once done, check MyRadar
3. If issues persist, try the Reset button available in the same menu.
4. Lastly, if there's still any trouble, try reinstalling the app on your machine
If none of that works, please reach out to our Help Desk here.
Linux version of MyRadar
A Linux version of MyRadar is not currently available.
Gale AI
Gale is a subscription-only chatbot feature that can answer weather-related questions and give you forecast details. To access Gale, click on the chat icon in the toolbar (must have an active Premium Features subscription).
Custom User Overlay layer
The Windows version of the app has a Custom User Overlay layer that lets you put your own custom data onto the map. You can enter a URL or file path for the GeoJson data source you wish to use in the layer's settings.
How do I change the app's language?
To change the in-app Language, check the Settings menu in the toolbar. The app requires a restart for changes to take effect.
